Hello. My name is Gary Frankenbery. Just did a
Google search to find that I'm not the sole Linux user
in the Rogue Valley :-). BTW, I live in Grants Pass
(in Medford, they make fun of people in Grants Pass,
and think we are barely civilized; in Grants Pass, we
make fun of the people in Cave Junction. Please, no
flames--the folks in Cave Junction *are* quite
civilized--really).
Some Linux background:
I've been dabbling with Linux for nearly three years.
But, 5 months ago, I finally took my main home
computer, which was then dual boot Linux/Win98, and
scrubbed the Win98 partition off of it. Now using
Mandrake 8.2 and KDE 3.01. (In all honesty, I have 3
comuters at home, one of which runs [shudder] Win98).
Have been doing some work with Postgresql and PHP
programming.
Also have done a little programming in Delphi/Kylix,
Python, Ruby, C, C++, and Java. Dabbler in many
programming languages, but expert in none, and
